Karly Trotter, LCSW-C, RYT 200, RP
Karly Trotter, LCSW-C, is Licensed Clinical Social Worker, MD Board Certified Clinical Supervisor, Registered Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and Reiki Practitioner. She offers individual therapy, helping neurodivergent folks, parents, and elder clients manage stress, life transitions, general social anxiety, grief, executive dysfunction, intrusive thinking, self-doubt, and relational conflict and/or trauma. She also facilitates a twice monthly Women’s Support Circle that has been going strong since summer 2023.
Karly has trained and studied MBSR, Narcissistic Wounding, the Neuroscience of Trauma, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Neurodivergent-Affirming care. She pulls from different therapeutic methods and incorporates a blend of Interpersonal / Schema Therapy, ERP, DBT, ACT, Existential, Eastern Philosophy, and Mindfulness-Based Approaches in her practice as a therapist.
Karly is a friendly midwest transplant who loves dancing, making art, reading, and the outdoors. Prior to being a therapist, she studied and worked in an educational capacity as a mentor and teacher, which now influence her curiosity, flexibility, and individualized approach. In the room, she is known to let out a genuine laugh at your jokes, remember specific details you share to reference later, and offer as much (or little) back-and-forth dialogue as you’d like. She welcomes feedback and will regularly inquire about your experience in therapy to ensure you are progressing towards your goals and feeling safe in the therapeutic relationship.
