The EMDR Basic Training is an EMDRIA Approved Training and is now being offered in the Five-Day Intensive Format. This format covers the same material as the standard format except it covers that material over the course of five consecutive days instead of two three-day trainings. One advantage of the Five-Day Intensive Format is that participants will learn more advanced strategies for working with more complex clinical presentations sooner and can start implementing EMDR into their practices without having to wait to complete Part 2 of the training. The fee for the Five-Day Intensive training is $1,400, which covers the training and ten hours of combined group and individual consultation. Trainings take place virtually on Zoom until further notice.
The Counseling Center's online EMDR Training offers plenty of opportunities to practice new skills in a small group setting. Each training day starts at 9:00am and ends at 6:00pm EST with a 1 hour lunch break from 12:00-1:00pm EST. Zoom link and training materials will be sent out one week before the first training day. The training is approved by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners for 40 CEU’s. If attendees from other states or professions want to attend, they should check with their profession’s local board. CEU certificates are sent by email upon completion of training and consultation. Please note: Refunds will not be processed if cancellation is within 48 hours of the first training.
